Thanks @ SPP-Ottawa. Iv seen little hand lenses like this before but probably lower quality. I'll have to look around for a cheaper one. Also iv always loved geology. Iv thought about going to school for it just as a hobby to learn more. It's a pretty broad field of science.

The 10x is excellent but limits the field of vision. I prefer a X6 for everyday and grading (Lighthouse) but always have my Nikon triplex 10X on hand. If needed, I use the same X20 as SPP.

Buy reputable optics since many "triplex" out there either distort a lot (bad optics) or are not a real triplex (3 lenses).
