uncirculated details...however, there are signs of wear and cleaning
as well as numerous nicks on fields and rim( slight corrosion appearing
numerals and letters) Net AU-50

Beaut! Tough one to grade! Obv looks MS62-63, but the reverse looks like it has some wear and nicks etc. Net AU58 in my book. Looks like he has a few more wrinkles in his forehead :)

I agree with atlashealth regarding the reasoning and I will call it a net 'slider.'

The coin is much darker than my pictures indicate...more of issues with my pic taking ability/camera...I'm working on that.

The dealer I bought this from labeled it MS64 BN, I gave it an MS63 BN....in my haste I slighly over-paid. However, it had some verdigris inside the obverse motto and I wanted to try out VERDI-GONE™ on it.

Very nice job. Thanks for the pics!

Edit: Can you explain how or what oxidation is?

Sometimes I like to just let the coin sit out exposed to air for a few days. It seems to smooth the color out more after VERDI-GONE™ as it permits the copper surface to reoxidize.
