at Walmart today I received a circulated 5$ star note. I was wondering where I can get info on them its not a crisp bill so would it still have any premium over face value at all? its a 2001 and the serial is CK 00593678 remember I know absolutely nothing about collecting paper currency so what you might think I know about it I guarantee you I dont so say what you can. thanks.

Nice find! :) I don't know much about them either, but I know enough to check for stars... still haven't found one (only been checking for a few months though). My guess is that it probably isn't worth too much over face value, but I'd love to hear from someone who knows!

Regards,

i got very lucky considering I just started looking 2 days ago even if it has no premium its staying with me just cuz its diff than the normal dollars lol. and its not a 1 either its a 5 that makes me happy finally got sumthin to celebrate. well I did have a few other finds in coins but that was a once in a lifetime thing most likely lol. good luck on your search man. I hope everyone finds them a nice little prize. I also hope we have some people who know about this posts but I appreciate your reply

modern star notes are worth alittle if the are unc howerver I keep just everyone I find star notes are replacment notes for errornotes that are printed and are not perfect for circulation the star is not an error but a replacment for that error on the average they are worth atleast $10.. more in unc. but some can rise well above that
