Napolean Coin With United States On Reverse (Id: Likely 19th Century French 5 Centimes)

I have this beat I believe to be tinlike from feel, look, weight, and sound. I see napolean III on obverse but I can see United States on the reverse. Some help is always much appreciated

I don't see the beard on the ruler you think it may be, and that does not look like the same eagle to me.

Maybe there is a different explanation altogether?

What is the size?

(Edit: the more I stare at the photos, the less sure I am )

My first thought was this was a very heavily worn French 2, 5 or 10 centimes coin of Napoleon III (depending on the size). At least from the photo, I can't really discern any sign of "United States" on the reverse, though I faintly see a few indistinct letters.

Its 4.24 grams with the same surface area as a quarter but thin as a dime evenly all the way around

Based on the size, I'll refine my guess to a French 5 centimes of Napoleon III. That coin is 25 mm in diameter, with weight 5 gm.

I agree that it's a heavily worn French Napoleon III 5 centimes.

This is a holed one I have - you can see that the reverse is upside-down in relation to the obverse, just like on US coins:
