Hello!

I went to an estate sale yesterday and picked up 5 pennies that I am assuming have errors?

1955 Wheat penny has no mint mark and is 180 degree reversed on the other side where the wheat is.

They are all like this for the 1961 and 63's.

Can you review and tell me if this is something or just a cool find?

My photos are too big and I will need to retake them and upload them later tonight.

180 rotated from normal means the tops of both sides will be at the same end of the coin. That's not common.

keith beat me to it.

Your coins are normal, as US coins are minted that way.

I would still like to see that '55, as the OP only stated that one coin is 180 degrees out - that and the indication that they are from the U.S. they should know what the proper orientation should be. (but I could be wrong).

Dearborn- He was referring to all of the coins having the same "errors."

He mentions the 55 as a Wheat cent, seeing as it has a different reverse, that was the significance there.

No mint mark means Philadelphia and all US coins are struck with a 180 rotation between the obverse and reverse so that when flipped end over end the image will still be right side up. This is called coin alignment (as opposed to medallion alignment when they are oriented the same way).
