Hello All,

I am not a coin collector but after gathering up all of my coins before sending them to the coinstar machine, I had a few that caught my eye. This specific Nickel has some really raised and sharp edges compare to the other 1964 Nickels I found. Not sure if isn't more than the .05 its worth. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

your coin has a nice strike, and didn't see much circulation, it's not SMS but might be worth saving until a nicer example of that date comes along

Might be an impaired proof,a proof coin that has been circulating.

to the CCF and just a nice nickel. Also you will never find a 64 SMS coin in circulation. All of them that were minted have been accounted for.

very good looking nickel in nice condition. but as stated not an SMS, as there were only about 12 to 24 of them minted. So finding one in circulation will be exponentially difficult.

64 SMS is not a coin that can be found in circulation. The only ones ever minted were in the collection of the then-director of the mint and were purchased at her estate sale.
