For Grading - 1905 Indian Head Cent

I'll say MS-62, possibly 63.

Looks recolored. Did it straight grade ?

Common date, not much appeal to a collector of this series.

Where would the questionable color be?

I see mixed alloy.

MS-62, like the color.

Looks MS-64BN to me.

Nice example of an S-4, the top of the misplaced digit is clearly visible in the denticles below the 5.

I'm suspicious that the obverse has been burnished and recolored, and the reverse may have been recolored as well.
The area around the ear, and the lock in front of the ear, are my main concerns. I think I have an S-4 in my own collection; if so I can see if mine has the same shallow strike in those areas.

Unc Details (63BN) if it's been recolored or otherwise altered; straight grade 63BN otherwise.

The pinkish hue of the Indian is pretty obvious. Looks like it also has oil or like John suggested, shellac. Just my opinion so take that for what it's worth. I mean no disrespect to Humble.
