i find that the easiest way to tell the difference between the reverse of 94 and the reverse of 97 is to look at the loops on the ribbon. they are smaller and flatter on the reverse of 94.
I collect low grade large cents. I currently have >230 Sheldon varieties and >235 middle date Newcomb varieties.
