I do not know of a 1946-D/S,there is a 1949-D/S. Congrats on 50 post

at 10x magnification, reverse mint marks on nickels so often exhibit some anomaly that I've given up checking on them for RPMs and such, I suspect many are due to bounces of the mint mark punch

There is a RPM-001 that looks like that one. But yours is in a later die state.

You would need to compare the mintmark locations to see if it is a match or not. If not, then it is not that die number.

Not a match:

Location close, but RPM is not a match.

@coop got it! Is it possible its a lower rpm? I added another arrow where it looks like maybe the bottom of a D.
