An Absolutely Pristine 2005-P Kennedy From A Half Dollar Roll

Today, I stopped by my credit union and picked up a roll of dollars and one of halves.
On opening the latter, my attention was instantly drawn to one coin that had such absolutely beautiful luster that it stood out like a sore thumb among all the other circulated Kennedys: a 2005-P. If I were to slap a grade on it, I would estimate easy 65, probably higher. It has two very, very tiny nicks on the obverse, but they are by no means distracting. The rest of the coin is completely pristine.
But, since it did come from a roll of circulated coins, I will have to settle for calling it a "Phenomenally Nice AU". Not a bad find for face value.

I already have it mounted in a 2x2, but I'll try and get a good scan.

a scan? pictures of it out side of the 2x2 would be ideal for getting good images of it.

Don't bother trying to scan it. Remove it from the 2X2 and photograph both sides straight-on in natural light.

Sounds like a nice find. I as well would enjoy seeing a photograph. A scan will eliminate all traces of luster and will not be useful towards evaluating the coin.

Here are some photos of that Kennedy 2005-P.
I opted to leave it in the holder so as not to handle it any more than necessary. There may be some reflections or spots on the mylar surface that look like coin flaws, but aren't.
The two main flaws which I mentioned in the OP consist of a scratch below the L and a smaller scratch at the corner of Kennedy's mouth.
Otherwise, a pretty nice specimen.

Alas - these photos are poorly lit, obscured by the plastic holder and out of focus.

All I can judge is that it 'looks nice'.

that's not automatically an AU coin, MS is applicable for coins that do not exhibit signs of circulation, even if they have circulated

Yes, looks nice, but cannot get a feel for the coin to give a decent grade estimate (using the pics posted). Probably in the AU58-MS64 range....somewhere.

Thank you all for the feedback. Yes, the picture taking method I used wasn't exactly great. First time ever attempting to photograph a coin. Essentially, I hand-held the coin and my Android phone under an incandescent lamp! I will work out a better method in the future.
Oddly, I'm not particularly concerned with an exact grade number on this one. I was just astounded that such a nice specimen would show up in a circulated roll.
Much curiosity about the coin's journey from a 2005 mint set to landing in my collection at face value.

the mint sold these by the bag in mass quantities, so your example might come from there

I'd still like to see a good photo of this coin.
