Key-Date coin too. Way too much for an impaired proof. For not much more money there are a few offered on the Bay right now that are worthy of adding to ones collection. John1
( I'm no pro, it's just my humble opinion ) Searched 6.5 +/- Million Cents Since 1971

While IMO, the coin shown has been "rubbed or brushed " Lightly by something, somewhere along the way as seen Not Harshly, just Know, it did NOT happen at the mint. Sure Looks better cleaned No ! Tremendous OUCH ! Oh well, 30, 123 out there..

That poor coin, (I may have to take mine out and give it a gentle hug and let it know that it is safe from vandals like that)
That coin certainly suffered a very bad cleaning job - my guess it was either 'milking' up or toning and the seller wanted to sell a 'shiny' coin.
On the up side, seeing how that thing went for almost 3k, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling about mine when it comes to potential value.

Smoke em, if u got em. This NGC PF70 just sold tonight @ $12,500 + 23% BP. That's 23.2% off current TPG list price. Can't verify the cert number for this but, sold through Ira and Larry Goldberg, auction out of LA with no image of the cert number. I'd love to have it but...

Why is the 95 proof a key date, and selling for so much? Is it for the W mint mark?
