Just looking for an honest opinion what you all think about this penny and if it's a keeper or only worth .1 cents.

Some damage, unfortunately. Could be an adequate album hole filler until better comes along

The scratch and stains on the obverse are very distracting. Keep it until a better one comes along.

Learn: No mintmark is nothing special. It means it - along with 754,109,999 of it's BFFs - was minted in Philadelphia. It also has 1,774,020,400 close warm personal friends minted in Denver with a D mintmark.

No US Cent minted in Philadelphia has ever had a mint mark except during 2017 to celebrate the 225th anniversary of the mint's founding.

The P mintmark was added to other coins in 1980. Prior to that the Philadelphia coins were not marked.

It's red and probably hasn't been circulated much, but that big scratch is indeed distracting, as are a couple of those big stains. It's prime hole filler or bullion material at this point, worth 2.5 cents (from its copper value) and that's it.

And yes, having 'no mint mark' means it was minted in Philadelphia.
