Tim Stroud Pillar of the Community United States 2661 Posts	Posted 03/29/2009 3:49 pm I picked up a 1971 proof set at an auction recently for $6. The holder is scratched kinda bad. I was wondering what you guys think. Crack em out and put them into something else or just leave them in there and try to buff out the scratches as best as I can. Report this Post to the Staff

eaglefoot Pillar of the Community United States 6326 Posts	Posted 03/30/2009 10:41 am Well.......it depends.....if you're collecting "the Sets" and that's the whole point of buying this Set......then keep it intact or try to look for one in better condition..... If you're NOT collecting "the Sets", and are only interested in the coins contained within to put into albums.....then the decision is self-evident I would think. Report this Post to the Staff
