1869 3 Cent Nickel, Double Date & Double Die?

jdheyne Pillar of the Community United States 772 Posts	Posted 04/06/2006 08:32 am Picked up some more stuff... Looking under the scope, I checked for the double date and found it, quite obvious. Also the die crack going up (pointed out by the arrow, and also going across the date) Looking some more at it, there appears to be a heckuva lot more doubling... jdheyne Pillar of the Community United States 772 Posts	Posted 05/01/2006 4:30 pm I finally got a CherryPickers Guide... It shows the double date identical to this, but does not show the die crack or the double die obverse. It shows a DDO for 1866 that I have, and also shows it in the 70, but not this 1869. Big premium for the 1866. This is one of two DDO I have for the 1869. The other does not have the major double date, Should this be something to be authenticated? I plan to sell these shortly.
