Thank you all! I come across and save a lot of shiny coins if they appear to be in better condition than they "should be" for their age... How can I tell if it's from cleaning? I'm not necessarily collecting them . Just make sure to throw them in the jar instead of spending them. Often upon a second inspection, I notice things I hadn't previously and put them back in the spend pile (just a habit from years of serving, getting tips and operating a cash register).. how can I tell I'm holding something cleaned and not it's natural state?
