He found this coin and is wondering if it is an error as it appears to have a 45 degree rotation on Reverse? If it is an error any estimate on its value? Thank You! Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 03/09/2010 10:31 am VAM is a term that only applies to Morgan and Peace dollars. You are asking if it is a recognized variety. Unfortunately there is no standard reference for varieties of the nickel Three Cent pieces. (The best book had a very small printing and has been out of print for years. And even so it only scratched the surface.) As far as I know there are no variety listings for rotated dies. That doesn't mean they don't exist or are rare, just that they aren't considered to be a variety. (You don't create a new variety just because a die rotates in the holder.)
