we've got a winner! where is the dancing banana when I need it!. ! :)

It
it's s Upstate with his answer, Connecticut, 6 hours!..
It is actually, something between 5-6 hours in Connecticut, but this answer is close enough I think!
The story is like that :
Back in the year 2000, my cousin was studying at one of the colleges in Boston for her Ph.D. Me and my brother went there for a summer, to help her through moving and spend some time in the States. We stayed in Boston, Massachusetts for about two months (I was a student back then) and as it is so close, our cousin took us for a trip to New York, for 5 days. from Boston, we drove through Connecticut to reach to New York. As it was a round trip and we were not driving a Ferrari, and we took a Lunch break and some tea, it took about 5 hours to cross the little Connecticut state. :) Partly it is, because stopped to pick something I found in the middle of the road, which will be out next contest, right after the Christmas.
I wish all of you a Merry Christmas. Thank you very much for participating to my little silly contest. One more will be coming right after Christmas.

I was going to say 2 hours but I realized you can't drive in CT. in two hours due to the traffic. Thank you so much for the contest and the really nice Christmas surprise

Congrats upstate and thanks molydeli. Not to hi-jack your topic and contest but it is true about slow traveling in CT.
I drove tractor trailer for years. One Friday afternoon I got my steel load off in Brooklyn and instead of the boss saying "bring it home" like he usually did, he gave me a pick up in Hartford CT.
So up I 95 I go.
I got there averaging about 10 or 15 mph tops. I know I had to push that awful clutch in a gazillion times and I thought my knee would burst. When I finally got to my pick up I was to get huge rolls of paper laid on wooden 4x4 blocks. Second roll on the forklift and roll went through the wooden floor of the trailer.
So it was getting dark til I could get my dispatcher and he told me to take another empty trailer that was there to Buffalo and pick up a load of flour at Pillsbury.
I was OK at that point but NY is a long state, All in all I got home sometime on Saturday, practically in a stupor. I made up my mind I was going to quit that day and did give my notice on Monday.
You are not kidding about Connecticut. I have never been back there either via I 95 but I did sneak in from another direction on a bouncy I 84 with another Trucking company. Back then on I 84 you got more vertical miles bouncing up and down than you did horizontally moving forward.
Rest in Peace

I concur with wheezy. I never saw so many square corners as I did on highways as I did in CT. Beautiful state ... I guess they don't want to destroy the view, lol.
