Why would anyone would toss this one into a "bulk" bin, and sell it for 4 1/2 cents?

Lack of luster, a mark across the coat, a nick in the field above the 1 of the date, the D of GOD appears damaged, and there's a spot on the lower left wheat. Some minor rub (wear) on the cheek and jaw...

AU50.

EF-45, AU-50 at best.

You finding all these in those bags? If so, those are some fantastic bags! Much better than bags I've bought from my dealer.

To be honest...these aren't actually "found-in-bag" coins. My dealer has a big plastic tub that's less than 1/2 full with wheats. When I decide to buy a bag of 1000...they simply dip a small bucket into the tub, and scoop out some...and take them to the coin-machine...

Then the machine does the rest. When the digital # hits 1000, they close the bag and make me pay $.045 + tax.

Heck I got mine last week at the auction. Roughly $2,100 worth of better early Lincolns for $400. I'm good for now.
