I thought this looked cool. What is it exactly from a collectors standpoint, and is I worth adding to my collection? https://www.2011buffaloproof.com/ Report this Post to the Staff

DavidZerbato Pillar of the Community United States 1081 Posts	Posted 03/27/2011 3:09 pm IMO, it's just a marketing scam. Not a legal tender coin, no bullion value and made so unsuspecting people will get lured into purchasing it thinking they are purchasing something of value. There are many other coins like this too, such as the colorized State Quarters and even $2 bill. Report this Post to the Staff

Bizybackson Pillar of the Community United States 1817 Posts	Posted 03/27/2011 5:03 pm I saw a full page ad for this exact "commemorative coin" recently. NCM is a shameless promoter of these pieces of junk and really damages the hobby by turning off regular citizens when they find out from a reputable dealer how much their "coin" is really worth. Sad state of affairs that these cons are perpetuated time and time again on unsuspecting people. Report this Post to the Staff
