1920 Austrailian Penny Minted In London With No Mint Marks

Fliporfly New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 05/14/2011 09:06 am I think this is a London version with no mint marks. I counted beads and there are 177 to confirm it was minted in London. Also compared it to other 1920 Pennies to see location of N (OMN)and :(OMP:) and position seems correct for London (English) die. Any idea of value? nealeffendi Pillar of the Community Australia 852 Posts	Posted 06/12/2011 05:28 am Hi Fliporfly, the coin you have is a 1920 dot below English (or London) die penny. It is in slightly better than average circulation grade but has been unfortunately cleaned. Without cleaning it would be worth somewhere around $100 but as is its worth $20-40. If you look between the letters IN of IND you can just make out a raised line, that is how I know it is almost certainly a dot below (from the most common of the London obverse die pairings).
