I think this is a London version with no mint marks. I counted beads and there are 177 to confirm it was minted in London. Also compared it to other 1920 Pennies to see location of N (OMN)and :(OMP:) and position seems correct for London (English) die. Any idea of value? What do you think the condition or grade is based on images? Thanks in advance for any advice, Jon
Hi Fliporfly, the coin you have is a 1920 dot below English (or London) die penny. It is in slightly better than average circulation grade but has been unfortunately cleaned. Without cleaning it would be worth somewhere around $100 but as is its worth $20-40. If you look between the letters IN of IND you can just make out a raised line, that is how I know it is almost certainly a dot below (from the most common of the London obverse die pairings).
