This penny has a full 90 degree die rotation. I have heard of this occurring from time to time, and I'm wondering if anyone has seen something similar to this 1991. A full ninety degree rotation would seem to be extremely rare.

Very cool! 90 degree rotations are elusive, they do occur in years 1944, 1964, 1965 and 1967. I have never seen or heard of one from the 1990s, especially with the 12-sided strikes! Awesome find!!

Hi and thanks for the comments! It was discovered while sorting some rolls of pennies a couple of years ago. I have an idea of it's value, but unless I find a sister coin, this one isn't going anywhere.
