I've noticed that the premium on $5 AGE proofs compared to the bullion coins has almost disappeared with the recent rise in gold prices. On ebay, you can get a proof coin for about $200 where the bullion coins are going for only $10-$15 below that. Do you think it would be a good time to stock up on some proof coins?

I guess I should add that you can still obtain $5 AGE proofs from the mint for about $200 as well. I know their pricing depends on the London weekly average (I think) so that could change soon.

Maybe with the prices so high, everyone just wants the gold, and not to pay a premium on a proof coin, thus driving demand down...
