There were plenty of them produced, your proof $5 coin has a mintage of 404,013, and the proof dollar had 6,925,627! I probably should get a Red Book but I only have a mild interest in US coins (I like the designs but being from UK I cant fish through my change and have champagne taste and beer money on the most part) I looked on ebay, there were a few of the silver dollar coins for sale but the majority will only ship to America. I am finding that quite annoying really! Maybe I am unaware of some law or something but as far as I can see if the buyer is prepared to pay the appropriate Postage Fee then what does it matter where he lives? I bought a 1899 black eagle note the other day and when I went to pay it wouldnt let me... I messaged the guy telling him to invoice me and add another $10 but still no reply...arrrgh! Back on topic I will add some more US coins to my collection if I get the oppertunity to buy some at good prices or some lots. Report this Post to the Staff
