I'm working on my photo skills & am pulling out coins I haven't shown before. Looking for grading opinions on this one. Constructive photo criticism is also welcome.
This pic was taken in sunlight coming through a window which seems to work the best for me. Every time I try to add supplemental lighting it either reflects off the coin or my camera makes the pictures appear yellow.
The yellow is from the type of bulb used in the light. Soft white light bulbs give the yellow tint and is hard to edit out. Learned that one the hard way. I have switched to daylight bulbs to get the white look.
Try using a diffuser. Some use a plastic milk jug others a piece of white paper made into a loop and surround the coin. It will cut the glare of the light source. There are lots of good ideas in the photo section of this site. Try different things until you find the ones that work.
I've tried a diffuser, daylight bulbs & LED's. I still seem to end up with the yellow tint on my photos. My problem might be that I get frustrated & quit before I find the right combination.
