Hello I recently bought this coin, and was wondering if anyone else has seen one like it before, or could offer me some information on it? The central part appears as a normal Kirin Province coin, but it has an extra border saying it is a silver sample coin, not for circulation. It's very big - 5cm diameter and 2mm thick.
Any information would be appreciated! Thank you :)
Been seeing a lot of these lately, the central part varies in design, but from what I have researched they are Indian made novelty pieces. Made of the typical alloy that modern counterfeits are made of, not silver. The outer part seems to be a way to avoid legal troubles as they are technically not copies of an existing coin.
