Wow, didn't see this one coming.
With a combination of a weak strike above the ear and a few bag marks I couldn't see it getting any more than MS65 grade.

The slab has a heavy rub spot in the location you are talking about. This is blurring out some detail. I should have buffed out the slab before I took the PICS. I was under the impression that a weak strike is a mint issue and wouldn't change a grade.

Usually, weak strike would only matter in proof coins grading, but in higher grades, it sometimes does. This is from the NGC grading guide: Quote:
In grades MS-63 and lower, a grading service such as NGC does not weigh their sharpness of strike heavily. |
