Penny Collections - Interest To Go Up Or Down?

punman Pillar of the Community Canada 849 Posts	Posted 03/11/2013 01:18 am With the penny gone from circulation will the collecting value of pennies go up somewhat or will people not be interested in collecting pennies (out of sight out of mind) and the prices go down? Or maybe there will be little change at all? I am referring to pennies pre WW2. Report this Post to the Staff

I know human nature seems to be "outta sight, outta mind", which sometimes makes me feel the pennies popularity may be gone in a few years. Then perhaps nostalgia and it's history in Canada may spark a renewed interest and bring collectors outta the woodwork? If you look at N.B., NFLD., N.S. Coinage, is there much demand for them since they are no no longer in circulation? And how about Canadian silver nickels & large cents, only time will tell I guess?
