white_740 New Member United States 9 Posts	Posted 10/07/2013 3:24 pm It is one sided. And very thin. I have a larger on like it with a 200 on it as well and it also has the bent edge on it. The back has the impression of the raised surface on it. Report this Post to the Staff
Sap Moderator Australia 17008 Posts	Posted 10/07/2013 5:48 pm I believe you will find that if it isn't badly damaged or corroded and you weigh it, it ought to weigh exactly 0.05 grams - because it says "50 mg" on it (50 milligrams). It is a weight, part of what was presumably a set of weights for use with an old pre-digital balance. Your "200" piece should weigh exactly 0.2 grams. The bent part is supposed to be bent like that; this is to allow the weight to be more easily picked up with tweezers that came with the set of weights. We have a set very much like it that was once used with the older balances in the chemistry lab where I work. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
