1827 One Cent Does She Really Have A Beard?

This is a coin my mom gave me. 1827 One Cent but it looks like Lady Liberty has a beard. I was going to try and clean it but I was told not to.I wanted to put it on ebay but I think I need to have some knowledge bout it first. If anyone has a few minutes I would appreciate it. raybutler Valued Member United States 96 Posts	Posted 11/07/2013 1:56 pm Welcome to the forum! That is an 1827 Coronet head large cent, the "beard" you are referring to looks like corrosion. It is probably a dug coin, you wouldn't get much more than $10 on ebay in that condition, better to hold onto it for its sentimental value. IMHO Report this Post to the Staff
