Hello again,

I just got a new digital scale and I weighed all my Morgan and Peace dollars.

They all weigh 26.7 grams as they should, I should mention they are all in EF to AU condition except this one.

It only weighs 26.1 grams. my question is, could the wear on it cause it to lose this much weight?

I thank you in advance for any help I can get...

Weight seems right for the wear. Especially if the edges are worn.

I see no real reason to doubt it, even at the weight. That's within the range of "reasonable." Does your scale measure to 0.01g? A resolution of 0.1g is probably less than necessary for accurate measurement.
