This is a friends 1909 VDB cent, they were the best pictures I could take. I'll post the grade that it got after a few guesses to see if you're as good as ANACS

Knowing nothing really, only a complete guess based on my coins and others I have seen I am gonna go for

Hi Sleaklight.

Nice coin, and I am grading it MS-62. It has very nice detail, but thre seems to be a hit on the W in we and a fairly heavy scar just above the date that hurts the obverse. On the reverse, the scratching (?) just above the VDB really hurts it. In fact I am tempted to move it back to AU. If the marks are on the holder, everything goes up as I would call the detail 65.

Much better. I will now say MS-62 RB. I think the obv. scratch above the date, the obv. rim nick at 6:00 and the rev. scratches above the V.D.B. will keep it below a 63, but who knows. Very nice example.
