Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6399 Posts	Posted 12/29/2007 12:44 pm I agree the photos don't really give clear enough detail to make a good judgment. It's hard working through those slabs! NGC gave this coin an AU-58. There is a trace of rub over Liberty's cap and on the drapery at the tip of the bust. The eagle's left talons also show light wear. Luster is strong on the reverse but weaker on the obverse. I suspect the coin was dipped at some point, reducing the originality of the surfaces. Still, it's a keeper! Report this Post to the Staff
