You know you go back over rolls you have and see if you can spot something the next time over and I missed this one the first time or two I went through the rolls. I guess I was looking for the big ones and then I noticed this one. Every nicer I see it was listed on coppercoins. It is a hard die to get images of. Most of the time I get them the first time, not on this one. But here we go.

I noticed the vertical bar on the "4" first.

But that is not the end of the story. In the roll I found two 1941D-1DO-004 as well. They almost looks the same as the 005's slightly different doubling and mint mark locations are different.

Total find of 6 total from the roll.

I don't know that I could have picked that one up. Like you, I have some I have gone back to ten/twelve times. It is fun when one of those just jumps out at you. Great find!

It is important to he check when we are new at collecting. But some doubled dies are harder to see when we hurry. So I always check them from time to time to see if I missed something. I have many rolls I hope to go through again that I've held onto. (I save all BU rolls, but I do release the current year rolls after check them.)

I see the site is still having a problem with timing out. So before you post your comments, copy them and get a refreshed screen then past them again so you can put the comment on the thread. If you forget, go back and copy then paste on refreshed page.

Ugh! Now I have to re check my coins. Luckily I have been holding on to them lately. I would have thrown that one back as MD. Guess its time to get a better scope also.

Well it came from a roll of BU's I bought a few years back. They are partially brown from age, but uncirculated.
