Hello all:) I have an unusual half ring shaped gold ingot w/ flattened stamped ends and I am stmped as to what is it. It was in a plastic cover labeled "Feudal Japan Circa 1820 Akita Province Very Rare" but I'm not sure I trust it. Now I'm at a loss. Any idea what this or where the marks are from?

Measurements: 23.2mm x 17mm or 7/8" x 5/8", 6 grams.

Thanks!
K

This is an interesting piece. I think you will have better luck having it IDed in the Unidentified coin section.
Rest in Peace

It certainly looks like your description, but I know these were counterfeited. Hopefully someone with experience with these will respond.

I could be way off but it looks like a nose bar/ring.Jewellery.
Deciphering text/images will be your biggest challenge I think.
