Help Identifying Unusual U Shaped Stamped Gold Ingot Currency?

cikaida New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 03/08/2016 12:52 pm Hello all:) I have an unusual half ring shaped gold ingot w/ flattened stamped ends and I am stmped as to what is it. It was in a plastic cover labeled "Feudal Japan Circa 1820 Akita Province Very Rare" but I'm not sure I trust it. Now I'm at a loss. Any idea what this or where the marks are from?
