I just got a happy birthday letter from ANA. I received a 1968 uncirculated penny and a $20 Young numismatics note.
And this.

What is it?

I have one of those.

I believe it's a sample intaglio vignette. It should have a textured feel to it, like our currency.

The most likely source of this would be the massive holdings of the American Bank Note Company archives that were sold.

Here's a steel printing plate that would have been used to print these https://currency.ha.com/itm/miscell...ption-071515

It is possible that whoever purchased the printing plate could have used it to print yours.

Our local club received a bunch of these with the ANA "Coin Week" publicity package we received. We gave them away so I don't think they have much, if any, value.
