Telling The Difference Between 1864 And 1864-L Indian Heads

buddy16cat Pillar of the Community United States 1536 Posts	Posted 04/09/2013 01:55 am I know the 1864-L has a pointier bust making you able to tell the difference in lower grades. I am confused about this. Do they mean the section below the neck? Here is one I am trying to test to make sure it isn't an "L" and a regular Indian head. Report this Post to the Staff

You might note it extends a little further, as well, but I don't know if there are varying date locations which might affect that dimension. Report this Post to the Staff
