I know the 1864-L has a pointier bust making you able to tell the difference in lower grades. I am confused about this. Do they mean the section below the neck? Here is one I am trying to test to make sure it isn't an "L" and a regular Indian head.

It's about the very front point of the bust, right above the 1.

No L:

With L:

The roundness of the "No L" is obvious. You might note it extends a little further, as well, but I don't know if there are varying date locations which might affect that dimension.
