Found this in my 2006 Denver mint set. I'm assuming it's a strike through its still in the mint cello.I think I'm going to call it the speared eagle.
Again sorry if the pictures aren't the best.

@1993Z, can you tell if this linear mark is proud or incuse compared with the fields of the coin?

Might be a possible Struck Through error, but we need better pictures that are clearer with less glare.

I will see what I can do for better pictures. The mint plastic is making it really hard on me.

What tells me it is a struck through, rather than coin damage is the trench itself. Note on this one the trench is rounded. So it was struck though perhaps a very small piece of wire. If it were a thread, then it would be curved. But if it were a Cud with a knife, the the trench would be squared, not rounded like this example. So it is a struck through error.

Those are super pics!

My concern is that I would expect that a wire would typically have the same diameter across its entire length, but this linear defect appears to get more narrow at one end. With that said, I never disagree with @coop. If he says it is a strike-through then you can take that to the bank.

Nice strike through! I don't see many errors on Presidential dollars that often.

I would say it's a Struck Through error. A scratch couldn't replicate this.
