What's up with the bottom of the ear? That lump I'm hoping is a doubled die for my collection finally. Please help me identify the cause.

A close-in photo with reduced glare would help--perhaps a couple of images taken at slightly different angles.

I agree. This is an incuse mark on the ear. A doubled earlobe would be raised, not incuse.

Well maybe this will help that is not just tell me what angles you need and what not and I will try my best with my phones camera.

Side ways shots are not helpful at all. Your original close-up photo had too much glare. Perhaps a slight angle shot to avoid glare would be helpful.

I agree with John1, it looks as if your coin took a hit in the area you are looking.

Sorry, I'm not very good at this whole thing but I do try my best. That's why I asked what angles. But I think you guys are right either way it's probably just damage. Thanks for your help
