So this coin was posted on ebay. From my limited knowledge of Chinese coins I suspect it is a fantasy. Modern or old, I don't know. It also just exudes fakeness as it doesn't seem to sit right with me. Would love to know what others think.

Finally found the same coin online. As suspected it is a modern fantasy medal from base metal.
