Doubled Die Or Machine Doubling On This 1969 S Lincoln Memorial?

I'm still trying to get the hang of doubled dies. I've gotten a lot better and have read the forums on here about them but still not 100% sure on this one. Thank you. ijn1944 Bedrock of the Community United States 19346 Posts	Posted 02/04/2022 9:47 pm Can't tell much from the one slightly soft and contrasty photo posted, other than it's not the famed DDO which has doubling that can be clearly seen with the naked eye. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/05/2022 1:28 pm There were a lot of Machine Doubling on the 1968-1972 cents. So it is probably MD. The spread is a lot stronger on the read DDO that year. Forget looking at the dates, look at Liberty and The motto: Machine Doubling was convincing that 133 examples of MD was submitted to PCGS. All got slabbed as a normal coin. These are some of the images of those affected areas. If they look like that it is Machine Doubling. Report this Post to the Staff
