1940 P Strike Through Penny Error? - Coin Community Forum

CRHunting Valued Member United States 172 Posts	Posted 02/26/2022 11:17 am Hello Everyone! I've attached pictures of a penny that I believe has a strike through error. On the coins I've found with PMD like this you can generally see the damage pushing through/warping the reverse. Since this coin has no damage or inconsistencies on the reverse I think it might be a candidate for a strike through error. That said, I've been wrong before :-) Thoughts? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/26/2022 12:09 pm I'm think a lamination on this one. It doesn't appear to wrap over the rim/edge area.
