1976 Canadian Cent Lamination Error

CaptJeffWorthFL Valued Member United States 249 Posts	Posted 08/09/2023 9:48 pm I found this CRH and at first glance I thought post mint damage on the obverse until I flipped it over and noticed right down the middle there was a line that caught my attention and noticed this also is an over greased die. I suspect some of the lamination on the obverse was gone before the coin was struck or upset. Interesting coin. With that much missing material from the planchet on the obverse, there probably wasn't enough copper and pressure to get a good strike on the word Cent. Nice find! Report this Post to the Staff
