Interesting to hear everyone's views. I don't like the design much, but I agree that the silver proof looks much better than the clad circulating version.

i wonder if the designer was influenced by the £2 coin issued by The Royal Mint in 2012 to commemorate Charles Dickens?

jpsned I made a statement along time ago that the mint is rushing the designs of these quarters. I also stated that I have not even heard of a lot of these women.

All the negative Nelly's, look at the positive, this coin maybe like early Bison nickels, the few mint state/proof coins will be the most valuable as they will wear fast. Circulation coins will be worthless while the mint state will be the conditional rarities.
