$1 at a Shell gas station. The older lady I handed them to looked at them suspiciously for a moment, turned them over a time or two, and for a moment I thought she wouldn't take them. I started to tell her they were half dollars, but she just dropped them in the change drawer, waved her hand at me in a dismissive manner, and mumbled something I couldn't understand. Not the normal reaction I receive!

50 cents at Dollar General, 50 cents at a gas station. The cashier at the DG just dropped it in the change tray without a second glance, the one at the gas station looked at it and said she was she was going to save that one (it was a bicentennial half).
