Don't read too much into the price. He wants to accept offers for a few days, and ebay forces them to put in a price. Obviously, if you want to collect offers, you don't put a price that someone will pay. Very common.

Yeah just a funny price. If you bought 2 he would go 108K on them. The price is already settling down pretty quick.

I'm not at all surprised about that.

I just went to the miny website and both liberty bell coins are available. Do you think people are cancelling because the price didn't skyrocket on the secondary market?

The mint has put out too much stuff this year for anything to go really crazy. When they started at 5x the gold spot and over 25x the silver spot price there just isn't room for these to go anywhere. I'm honestly surprised the silver sold out. You could have gotten the Mercury dime set for the basically the same cost and got double the silver and a 1/10th of gold.

I can't post the link because it is a reddit thread, but someone posted the 1 oz gold liberty bell this morning. Put a few pictures up and said they were sending it back.

All I can say is ouch! Just an awful product the mint put out on this one.

Here's one I found online. The buyer posted it, said the coin is loose in the capsule, moves around. That's kind of cheap IMO though I suppose many will be sent in for grading. I zoomed in and there's tiny dings scratches which I hope are on the capsule and not the coin.

Don't know if that picture is the same one as I saw earlier but same idea. For 20k and only 2026 made there is no reason to get this graded. The comments seem to indicate the buyer was disappointed in the strike as well. This entire coin is a big middle finger to coin collectors and the mint doesn't care.
