Did We Really Get A Semiquincentennial Native American Dollar?

Boba Debt Pillar of the Community United States 814 Posts	Posted 07/19/2026 10:26 pm I was really disappointed when I opened the lens for my Silver Proof set and saw that the Native American dollar not only lacked the 250 Bell privy but also the Dual Date I had hoped for. Sure, the reverse has a Revolutionary War theme, but that's about it. Since the minting of the Native American dollar is governed by different legislation, maybe they couldn't make it work with the privy and dual date. The American Innovation Dollars have the privy, as do some other coins, so I'm not sure what the mint was thinking. Putting it in the lens alongside the updated coins was a pretty bold move. There is plenty room where the date used to be. A privy is a nice substitute for some extra oomph. The Innovation dollars get one. But they have one every year, so I understand it is not a stretch. The set comes in the theme of Liberty, Then,Now, Forever, in American colors. Excellent eye to point the Singular coin, Does Not have the Dual dates On the most " modern " coin in the set.
