A trip to the tractor store paid off with a D mint 2026 dime. Still have not seen any D 2025 coins, so this was a bit unexpected.

Am I imagining things or are this years' coins super late in showing up?
I'm not surprised that I haven't found any, since I handle so little coinage nowadays. But it seems like I recall in years past that March and April were pretty typical for the current year's coinage beginning to show up.
Are 2026 coins being hoarded so much, or is there another explanation?

It is possible that a lot of people who are not coin collectors are holding on to 2026 coins that they receive in change because of the dual date.
But, I don't think that alone explains the shortage of new coins in circulation.
