I was thinking about the coin game from the Main Forum and realized that we should have a version for world banknotes too! Let's do "Around the World with Banknotes!"

The object of the game is to post a banknote from a country that shares a border with the country of the last banknote posted.

The Rules are essentially the same as the coin version:

1. The banknote you post must share a border with the last country posted.

2. If the last country has a coastal border you may cross the water as long as it is a straight* line on the globe without passing through another country or land mass (e.g. Antarctica).
*The line doesn't have to be literally straight, just as long as there are no right angles. Lines can curve with the Earth. Google Maps is a great resource for checking this. Right click on the first country, click "Measure Distance," then click on the next country. It will produce a line that you can adjust.

3. No returning directly back to previous country. Example: if someone plays a banknote from Brazil and then a banknote from Argentina is played, you may not go right back to Brazil.

4. If we get stuck on a country for 24 hours, you may jump one country that borders the current country to play a banknote.

5. After you post a banknote, you must wait at least 30 minutes before you can post another banknote, even if other banknotes have been posted.

6. Please only post banknotes for the countries where they were used or intended to be used, rather than where they were printed.

7. If the banknote is from a currency union (e.g., Eastern Caribbean States), the line drawn can originate from any country or territory in that union. Example: A banknote from the Eastern Caribbean States is played, and the next person draws a line from Montserrat to Venezuela. Alternatively, you could draw a line from Grenada to Barbados.

8. To the best of your ability, please identify each banknote with the year, denomination, and Pick number so folks can enjoy researching more about the notes shared in this thread. If there is no year, you can say ND for No Date and/or provide a date range. These are not requirements, though, just helpful suggestions. If you don't know this information, just say so, and others will almost certainly help locate it for you.

We can address any issues that come up along the way.

I will start us off with a banknote from Malawi: 2005 500 Kwacha P-56a.
