1998 Proof 20 Cent Australian 4th Head With Platypus, But It Is .999

Arkie Pillar of the Community United States 2643 Posts	Posted Today 2H 6M ago Was picking through the foreign silver at the LCS, as I often do, and I found a proof 1998 20 cent piece. I told the owner it was not silver, as it appeared as a normal 20 cent piece --4th head obverse, platypus reverse, no reference to coin value on obverse. He said, I thought as much as well, but on the XRF it shows .999 AG. Which he demonstrated to me. Could this be a wrong planchet error? I can't find my scale, so I haven't been able to weigh it.
