1999 Penny - Multiple Strikes - Legitimate Or Not

The photographs basically tell the story. I'm wondering if this penny could be authentic or not. If this coin is the result of some post-mintage hanky panky, I for one would not be surprised. This penny is how I stumbled upon this site. The information here is amazing, and I've spent countless hours visiting the various forums and information centers offered. The depth of knowledge displayed here is outstanding, and as a novice at this, I appreciate ALL comments :) Please help me out on this one! Thanks!
